Vantage Resources are looking for Oracle developers to work on major Oracle Fusion (BEA Weblogic), design and development projects on-site at a large Dublin-based consultancy.

The Role

• Develop, document and provide integration support with Oracle Fusion Middleware
• You will be working as part of a team and you will be required to support other team members, proactively communicate and mitigate tasks and provide solutions to issues

You will have

• Previous track record in delivering large-scale mission critical applications and experience in data, business process and object oriented design and modelling
• Some of the following: Oracle middleware including ORACLE SOA/ESB. Experience in middleware, ESB, J2EE, LDAP, B2B. Oracle Integrator, Java, SML, Oracle AS 91 - 10g etc
• Any consulting or customer-facing experience is advantageous

An experienced J2EE developer is required to work on a client site in Dublin City Centre. Contract is initially 3 months but there is a pipeline of work for up to 9 months. You will join an existing team developing 3-tier architectures in the Public sector.

Essential - Technical Skills / Experience

• About 10 years development and design experience in a variety of situations and implementations
• Several years commercial C/C++ in a UNIX environment (Solaris preferably)
• Current commercial JEE experience
• UNIX (Solaris preferably) experience
• Several years experience of UNIX shell scripting, and MAKE etc.
• Strong SQL

Desirable - Technical Skills / Experience

• Experience of a variety of architectures, especially3-tier, Client/Server architectures, and SOA especially JEE/J2EE on WebLogic and Tomcat/Axis
• Web Services and allied technologies and standards, including ESB, BPM
• Experience with JMS, EJB, JSF, JSP and some JEE Application server (BEA Web Logic, Jboss or Apache Tomcat preferably)
• Working knowledge of XML and related

Your responsibilities will include
Supporting completion/delivery of data-mapping documents for allocated business/product areas
Developing close working relationships with technical personnel (and other consultants working on project team)
Delivering robust transformation code, maintaining overall code-inventory and version control
Maintaining control of essential lookup tables
Liaising with programme technical personnel in respect of conversion environment management
Providing guidance and support to business users in matters of data cleansing and data quality
Participating in testing/QA of conversion

As an ideal candidate you will have
Excellent PL/SQL programming experience, with excellent experience of Oracle & Unix
