Senior Oracle DBA, Dublin City Centre, €70,000 p.a.

Vantage Resources have a requirement for a Senior Oracle DBA to work on one of their client sites in Dublin City Centre. You will have 5+ years project installing, upgrading, configuring, tuning and managing Oracle database products and Oracle application server products. This project is a new data-warehousing project so experience with Data Warehouses, BI, OLAP, iAS, SSO and Portal would be an advantage.

Duties

• Oracle database design
• Installation and Configuration of Oracle 10g databases and Application Servers
• Oracle patching
• Cloning Oracle environments

Requirements

5+ years DBA experience (9i / 10g)
Oracle Application Servers (9i / 10g)
Data warehousing and BI an advantage

Vantage Resources launch the revamped corporate area on vantage.ie

www.vantage.ie continuously evolves to meet the usage trends. In line with increased traffic to the client pages, Vantage Resources have launched a revamped corporate area. All information pertaining to IT staffing solutions, for all industries and all IT job roles, can still be found in the new corporate area. There are also some new features, such as a preview of currently available “top candidates”.

Prior to the recent changes, Vantage’s corporate pages were linked from the homepage. On October 20th, Vantage launched the newly revamped corporate area. The Corporate area, with all client related pages, can be readily accessed from the homepage with one click. The Corporate area hosts all the pages previously linked from the homepage as well as new information that can be viewed and navigated easily.

One of the new features enables clients to peruse a preview of some of our currently available candidates. On the right hand side of the index page, there is a scrolling list of top candidates with their key skills highlighted. Simply click on the link to view more details about that candidate. If you would like to view their full CV, please click the “enquire about this candidate button”.

Another new feature is the client specific poll. The popular poll on the candidate pages is one of the many ways that Vantage monitors the opinions of the website users. The client poll aims to be a supplementary source of insights and information on client’s needs and preferences.

Vantage Resources Co-sponsor the MTUG Irish Microsoft Technology Conference, Dublin June 7th

Vantage Resources are proud to co-sponsor the Microsoft Technology Users Group at their annual technical conference to be held June 7th in the Cineworld cinema on Parnell Street.

Fourteen speakers will present eighteen keynote addresses covering a number of different technical topics. The conference shall be attended by developers, architects, technical consultants and other IT professionals. Vantage contractors, who are involved with the voluntary technology users group, shall be attending the conference. In addition, we will have a team of highly skilled and experienced IT contractors present to provide technical information on the work we do in IT contracting. Queries on contracting can also be addressed to our Recruitment Consultants who will participate in the event.

We will present a stand at the conference for attendees to gather information on Vantage Resources and to speak with our IT contractors. There will also be an opportunity for MTUG members and conference attendees to take part in a free draw for a prize not to be missed. In order to be entered into the free draw, all participants have to do is register their name and email with Vantage Resources on the day.
