Java/J2ee Developer, Permanent, Banking, €Exc

Vantage Resources URGENTLY require an experienced Java/J2ee Developer for a permanent role based in Dublin South.

The role
This is a first class opportunity for a leading role with a newly launched European Banking operation. You will have the opportunity to work on large-scale development projects in a green-field environment as well as acquiring Financial Services experience.

The location is a 30-minute easy drive from Dun Laoghaire so anyone living in the Bray or Greystones area will find the travel far better than 'slugging' it into town.

Ideally you will have
Previous experience in Java / J2ee Development Framework
Experience ideally on large enterprise systems development across the project 'Life Cycle'
Financial Services experience while not essential would be a plus Ajax, Struts, JSP
Industry strength RDB - (Oracle preferred but SQL*Server or DB2/2 is fine)
In addition exposure to Web Services primarily Websphere is highly desirable

Senior J2EE Developers - Unix - Contract - Dublin City

An experienced J2EE developer is required to work on a client site in Dublin City Centre. Contract is initially 3 months but there is a pipeline of work for up to 9 months. You will join an existing team developing 3-tier architectures in the Public sector.

Essential - Technical Skills / Experience

• About 10 years development and design experience in a variety of situations and implementations
• Several years commercial C/C++ in a UNIX environment (Solaris preferably)
• Current commercial JEE experience
• UNIX (Solaris preferably) experience
• Several years experience of UNIX shell scripting, and MAKE etc.
• Strong SQL

Desirable - Technical Skills / Experience

• Experience of a variety of architectures, especially3-tier, Client/Server architectures, and SOA especially JEE/J2EE on WebLogic and Tomcat/Axis
• Web Services and allied technologies and standards, including ESB, BPM
• Experience with JMS, EJB, JSF, JSP and some JEE Application server (BEA Web Logic, Jboss or Apache Tomcat preferably)
• Working knowledge of XML and related
