PL/SQL Developer, 6 Months Contract, Dublin City Centre
Vantage Resources are seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer for a 6 month contract to work with a leading Financial Services entity in Dublin City Centre. Your role will involve working as part of a team on a complex development and build project.
Your responsibilities will include
Supporting completion/delivery of data-mapping documents for allocated business/product areas
Developing close working relationships with technical personnel (and other consultants working on project team)
Delivering robust transformation code, maintaining overall code-inventory and version control
Maintaining control of essential lookup tables
Liaising with programme technical personnel in respect of conversion environment management
Providing guidance and support to business users in matters of data cleansing and data quality
Participating in testing/QA of conversion
As an ideal candidate you will have
Excellent PL/SQL programming experience, with excellent experience of Oracle & Unix
Proven ability to manage code-base in a professional and well-organised manner
The ability to identify and analyse complex problems, and produce robust code to support conversion
The ability to broker the development of appropriate solutions through translation of business requirements into code
Strong focus on quality
Experience of systems conversions, and appreciation of reconciliation/financial aspects
Ability to work as part of a team, including working alongside Business Analysts and other Technical Analysts
