Information on moving to Ireland for non-European citizens

Vantage has been helping our employees relocate to Ireland, UK and other European locations for over 10 years now. The system for work permits changed recently, but with new applications already approved this year we are fast becoming familiar with the "Green Card". Vantage Resources like to apply, where possible, for Green Cards for our employees so that they can apply for immediate re-unification with their family. After receiving a green card, the employee must obtain an entry visa for Ireland. The following article is an overview of moving to Ireland for work for all non-European citizens.

How do I obtain an entry visa for Ireland?
An entry visa to enter Ireland on a green card or work permit can be secured from your local Irish Embassy or Consulate. Vantage Resources LTD assist our employees with this application. A list of Irish Embassies and Consulates can be found on the Department of Foreign Affairs site here .

Upon arrival in the state the employee must get a Garda National Immigration Bureau Card.

What is a Garda National Immigration Bureau Card?
Every non-European national working in Ireland has to register for a Garda National Immigration Bureau Card, commonly referred to as a GNIB card. Garda is the name of the Irish police force, also referred to as An Garda Síochána. The word is from the mother tongue of Ireland, Gaeilge, or Irish as we say in English. In Ireland, people speak English on a daily basis, but there are some words such as Garda that are used in Irish. The Garda National Immigration Bureau for Dublin is based in the heart of the city on Burgh Quay. Further details can be viewed on the Garda National Immigration Bureau's website here.

How do I apply for my family to join me in Ireland?
Again Vantage Resources LTD assist our employees with this procedure. Applications for families to join an employee working on a green card or work permit are made to the Department of Justice... {end of preview}

Vantage announce prize winner of IMTC flat screen TV draw

Vantage Resources Ltd sponsored and participated in the 2007 Irish Microsoft Technology Conference on June 7th in Cineworld Cinemas. The Conference was a massive success, attracting over 400 IT Professionals who use or are interested in Microsoft Technology. On the day, participants had an opportunity to register their name and contacts with Vantage Resources to be in with a chance to win a 32” flat screen TV. The draw was held on Wednesday 13th of June and the winner announced on Friday the 15th of June.
The lucky winner was Mr. Michael Browne from Cork. Michael was “delighted and surprised” as this was his first time to win anything. Michael gladly provided us with some words of his impressions of the Irish Microsoft Technology Conference and of his recent win:
I am very impressed with the IMTC as it is a great way to network especially as I am based in West Cork. The reason I took part in the draw was not just to try and win a TV (as I didn’t think I would) but also to show support for the sponsors of the event. The IMTC has to be the best value for money technology conference that exists, after all 50 Euros for a series of lectures, lunch and refreshments plus the after conference drinks is great value for money by any standards!
Thanks again to Vantage for the prize and best wishes

Michael could not make it to Dublin to receive his prize so a colleague, Bill Nagle, received the TV on Michael’s behalf. CONGRATULATIONS Michael, we hope you enjoy your TV for many years to come!

Financial Services Business Analysts

It's never been a better time to be a Business Analyst! It has been some time since the market has been this demanding of financial services business analysts. Business Analysts are always in demand, but for the past 2 months the demand has started to outweight the supply. A number of factors seem to have influenced this change, such as banking corporations expanding or changing their key technologies. Also, with financial services clients in other European countries also experiencing demand exceeding supply, they are enticing Irish business analysts to venture abroad.

Vantage Resources are renowned throughout Europe for their Visionplus staffing solutions and are one of the leading credit card Business Analyst providers in Ireland. At the moment, we have a number of Business Analyst requirements in Ireland and throughout Europe. We have requirements for Business Analysts with experience in cardpac, triumph, gems, essentis, equation, Tsys, Visionplus and many many more.
